To stifle the use and supply of unauthorized drugs and drug abuse, the Coimbatore Police have launched Mission Drug Free Kovai with specific spotlight on youngsters in colleges. With an estimated 126 colleges in the Coimbatore District and lakhs of students, it is vital to keep the youngsters out of harm’s way by means of prevention and rehabilitation from drugs. The Police plan to visit the colleges and spread awareness among the students.
